New puppies and kittens are charged a one-time puppy/kitten exam on the first visit. Booster visits are not charged an exam fee, even though your pet will still get a brief exam and you will be educated on what to expect at their age. You may discuss any concerns you have with the veterinarian as well.
Puppies need a distemper/parvo vaccine starting at 6 weeks of age. That vaccine will need to be boostered at 9 weeks, 12 weeks, 16 weeks and 20 weeks. A rabies vaccine will be administered at the 12 week check-up and Bordatella will be given at the 20 week check-up.
Kittens need a FVRCP (for respiratory viruses) and a Leukemia vaccine at 9 weeks of age. At 12 weeks, these two vaccines will need to be boostered and a rabies will be given as well.
